GM-AVTOVAZ localized Chevrolet Niva by 95%


The localization level of Chevrolet Niva car is 95%. The agency "AUTOSTAT" was informed about it in the press service of GM-AVTOVAZ, by adding that the number of components and suppliers vary by models. For example, if for the basic version of the vehicle (L) is used approximately 30 parts of foreign manufacture, then for the luxury version (LE +) it is used 65 items.

At the moment, new components for Chevroelt Niva from foreign suppliers are not planned, but in the company it is considered a program of development of the current generation, where imported components are not excluded.

"Given the macroeconomic situation and the devaluation, the localization increasing – is one of the main vectors of development, which helps suppliers of components to remain in the industry, and the automotive industry manufacturers to keep competitive prices of finished products. However, the localization not in each case is advantageous economically as it is required the investments, the time for certification, validation, manufacturing, testing, etc. In this case there is the option of using of those domestic analogues, which are already on the market or used before on Chevrolet Niva”, - noted in the press service of GM-AVTOVAZ.
