    For the last year, 1 million 671.6 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is more by 13.3% than in the last year. At the same time, in December of 2018, sales of new cars were 158.3 thousand units, which is more by 3.9% than a year ago. As for crossovers and SUVs, their sales in January-December grew by 18.1% in compare with 2017 and they were 729.2 thousand cars. The segment's share in total sales grew by 1.7 percentage points and reached 43.6%.

Lifan in January showed a record growth of sales in Russia

Russian dealers of Lifan in January of 2016 sold 1244 cars, which is more by 63% compared to the previous year. Thus, Lifan keeps the first place in sales among Chinese carmakers, by becoming the one of the leaders by the dynamics of growth in the Russian market.

Best-selling crossover is Lifan X60 - in January; it was sold 569 cars of this model. In second place there is a compact crossover X50 with 487 sold cars, informed the press service of "Lifan Motors Rus".

As it was noted, such a good result was achieved thanks to the company's policy aimed at attracting buyers not through aggressive market penetration, but due to attractive conditions to buy cars. One such measure, for example, is keeping the prices at the last year’s level up to March 1st, 2016.

"The Russian market for us is a priority, so we are developing actively, by opening new dealerships, at the moment in Russia there are 190 points of sale, which is the largest network among Chinese brands. We can see that the popularity of our brand is growing and we are not going to rest on our laurels, "- said the General Director of "Lifan Motors Rus", Sun Tszetszyun.

In 2016, Lifan plans to bring to the Russian market new models - at the moment Lifan Cebrium CVT a new sedan Lifan Solano are undergoing certification and, in addition, it is planned the appearance of flagship seven-seater SUV - Lifan X70.
