In October, sales of cars in St. Petersburg were better than it was expected

According to the agency “Auto-Dealer-SPb", for 10 months of 2015 in St. Petersburg it was sold 101,511 new cars and light commercial vehicles, which is less by 34% than in the same period of the last year. In October, it was recorded the third result in terms of sales of cars in a single month of this year (it was more only in June and September). St. Petersburg dealers sold 10,705 cars, which is less by 32% than in October of the last year.

The market leader in October was Renault, which also set the best indicator of sold cars for itself per one month of this year. Number one by the results of 10 months is still KIA.

The only brand in the top-10, which showed an increase in sales for the month, became Hyundai the third consecutive time. Korean brand increased sales in October by 35%, which helped the brand to get a plus mark at the end of the year. 

Ford continues to move forward. The American brand is in the seventh place, by surpassing Nissan by the results of October. The main loser of October was SsangYong, whose sales fell by 99%.

St. Petersburg share in the total volume of new car sales in Russia for the first 10 months of 2015 was 7.7% (this figure was 7.6% for the first 9 months).
