Sales of used cars of premium segment decreased by 13%

According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", for 9 months of 2015, 316,400 cars of premium segment have changed their owners in Russia. It is less by 13% than the same period of the last year (363.1 thousand units).

The most popular in the premium segment of the city is Mercedes. In January-September of 2015 it was resold 79.6 thousand vehicles of this brand of different model years.

In the second place there is BMW- it was sold 75.6 thousand cars, which is less by 13% than the last year. The third place of the market of premium second-hand is occupied by Audi - 65,8 thousand units, compared to 2014 - 16%.

Then there are in the list Lexus (27,4 thousand units, - 13%), Volvo (22,7 thousand units, -17%), Land Rover (18,3 thousand units, - 9%), Infiniti (12,4 thousand units, -6%), and Porsche that kept the volume at the last year’s level (6,3 thousand units). The top-10 has included Cadillac (2,8 thousand units, -4%) and Jaguar (2,4 thousand units, -2%).

"Sales of new cars Porsche this year showed a positive trend. The good indicator of the brand in the secondary market is also explained by this fact", - says Sergey Udalov, the executive director of the agency "AUTOSTAT".

Analysts noted that the most part of the premium cars with mileage is quite old - 66% of re-sales are cars that older than 7 years old.
