Prices for used cars have increased by 28% in average

According to the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", the weighted average price on used cars at the end of March of 2015 was 740 thousand rubles. This is more by 28% than for the same period in 2014 (578,000 rubles). According to the director of the agency, Sergey Tselikov, the greatest change in prices for used vehicles registered in December (+ 13%). "From January to March, the growth slowed slightly (+4.6% per month) and it almost stopped now. In the future, we can expect even price rollback", - says Mr.Tselikov.

For example, a three-year Ford Focus (one of the most popular models of the secondary market) at the beginning of 2014 on the free ads website (Auto.ru, Avito.ru, Drom.ru etc.) was offered for 480-500 thousand rubles. In March of this year, its average price rose to 612 thousand rubles (+ 25%). The three-year Kia Rio in the last year was estimated at 400 thousand rubles, and now it costs already 517 000 rubles (+ 30%). At the same time, the prices of similar age Renault Logan and Volkswagen Polo Sedan increased less significantly - by 12% and 18%, respectively. But the average cost of a three-year Toyota Camry for the year increased by almost 40% - from 870 thousand to 1.2 million Rubles.

Analysts also noted that in December of 2014 almost halved the number of proposals in the secondary market. At the beginning of 2015 the number of ads began to grow, but it has not reached yet the autumn of indicators. According to Sergei Tselikov, this is due to the fact that many sellers have withdrawn their ads, by hoping to sell the "second hand" in the spring at a higher price. In addition, according to him, it has now grown the difference between the "hotelok" (originally ads) and the price of the real deal. Recall that a joint survey of AUTOSTAT-Avito, conducted in December of 2014, showed that the sum of the real deal is less by 10% than the price, at which the seller had originally planned to sell the car.
