Chinese JAC Motors is interested in "TagAZ"

Chinese automaker JAC Motors is considering the establishment of assembly production at the site of the Taganrog Automobile Plant. The chairman of the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Chinese province of Anhui in Russia Mr.Syanbao said about it. Delegation of representative of JAC Motors arrived in the Rostov region to study the technical condition of "TagAZ", negotiations with its founders and creditors, wrote the newspaper "Vedomosti".

According to Mr. Syanbao, the interest in "TAGAZ" is connected with the fact that the company produced vehicles, including under Chinese brand, "had a good level of assembly", a production base, a niche in the market, as well as qualified personnel.

As part of the bankruptcy proceedings the property of "TagAZ" is estimated at 5.7 billion Rubles. After the reaching of agreement with Sberbank (the main creditor of the enterprise) it is planned to hold open trade and sale of property plant to a strategic investor.
