Specialists of Russia's largest companies of company "VEB-Leasing" identified the most popular brands and commercial vehicles among domestic entrepreneurs for 10 months of 2014. The most popular among the company's customers are car brands KIA, Lada, GAZ, Toyota, Ford, Nissan and Volkswagen. Cars of these brands have about half of the new business of "VEB-Leasing" in January-October of this year.

Only for 10 months it was sold more than 16.1 thousand passenger cars and commercial vehicles of more than 50 brands throughout Russia. The total amount of leasing contracts for the period was 28.76 billion Rubles. Despite the decline of the car market as a whole, the company fixes a moderate increase in demand for leasing services of cars and commercial vehicles: the same period of the last year it was sold 13,600 cars for a sum of 19.35 billion Rubles.

According to the deputy general director of "VEB-Leasing", Alexi Sichinava, the segment of vehicles is one of the drivers that keeps the fall of leasing market in Russia as a whole, despite the fact that the growth of this segment decreased significantly compared to previous years. "Now there is a process of concentration of the leasing market due to an increase in it of the share of big leasing companies and a reduction of share of smaller leasing companies, for which it is more and more difficult to attract financing", - says Alexei Sichinava.

One of the stabilizing factors was called by a top manager as the interest of auto dealers and manufacturers in cooperation with leasing companies. "Dealers in the fall sales are trying to attract customers with new financial products and the better terms, the cooperation with leasing companies is profitable for dealers, as the conditions of leasing for clients among legal entities in some cases are more profitable than credit conditions", - says Deputy General Director of "VEB –Leasing”.

In addition, until recently, car leasing segment was supported by the fact that many entrepreneurs among bank borrowers or those, who acquired the property at their own expense, began to apply to leasing as well as leasing companies do not require collateral from customers, which is important at the background of increasing scarcity of liquidity. However, to date, this trend has disappeared practically. "There is more and more active formation of pent-up demand", - summed up Alexei Sichinava.
