During the preparation of the updated report "Electric cars and hybrids in Russia," experts from the AUTOSTAT agency named the most common models of such vehicles in our country. We should recall that as of July 1, 2023, 25.7 thousand electric vehicles were registered in the Russian Federation. About half (48.4%) of them are the Nissan Leaf, which is far ahead of other electric cars.
Thus, the indicators of Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y, Porsche Taycan and Volkswagen iD.4 included in the TOP 5 do not even reach 7%. As for plug-in hybrids, there are 7 thousand of them in Russia. Over a quarter (27.6%) of this amount belongs to the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV crossover. The share of the Toyota Prius (14.6%) is approximately by a half less, which is slightly inferior to the Volvo XC90 (11%). The results of the Chevrolet Volt and Voyah Free are less than 10%.
