"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
For eight months of 2023, 294 thousand passenger cars rolled off Russian assembly lines
As of mid-July 2023, there were 1,244 official dealerships* in our country for the sale and maintenance of LCVs. And this number is 229 less than it was a year ago. Such data were announced by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT".
Against the backdrop of the total number of dealers decrease, there is an increase in the number of Russian and Chinese brands. So, for the year, domestic brands had 82 more official LCV dealerships, and the "Chinese" – more by 81. As a result, the share of the former increased from 36.3% to 49.5%, and the latter - from 4.9% up to 12.3%. Thus, today every second dealer in the country represents the interests of Russian LCV manufacturers.
Despite the fact that the share of "Japanese" dealers increased (from 14.4% to 15.9%), in quantitative terms they became slightly smaller (-14). But other market participants have more significant losses, and quite often this is due to the transition to the category of service partners. If the "Americans" lost 27 official LCV dealers for the last year, then the "Koreans" - 45, and the "Europeans" - 306.
Accordingly, their share also changed markedly. For European brands, it now stands at 6.9%, and from last year's second place (was 26.6%), they dropped to the fifth. The share of "Koreans" decreased from 15.4% to 14.6%, and "Americans" - from 2.4% to 0.7%.
