The most popular brands of electric vehicles in Russia became known


According to JSC "PPK" *, in July of this year, 1106 new electric cars were sold in Russia (both officially presented on the market and imported through parallel imports). And this is 8 times higher than in the same month of 2022. Volkswagen is the leader here - in July, the "electric" products of the German brand sold 184 vehicles (an increase of 8.8 times in compare with July last year). The domestic brand Evolute is the second one (166 vehicles), which officially sells its electric cars in the Russian Federation, and the Chinese Zeekr is on the third place (157 vehicles). The American Tesla is next (117 u vehicles nits; a 2.4 -fold increase), and the Chinese Hongqi (76 vehicles) is also in the top five. For 7 months of 2023, 5,522 new electric vehicles were sold in our country, which is 4 times higher than in the same period last year.

The TOP-5 brands here are almost identical to the July rating. Volkswagen is again the first (1103 vehicles, an increase of 15.5 times), Evolute is also the second (1029 vehicles). But Tesla and Zeekr switched places: the American brand moved up to the third place (749 vehicles, +17%), while the Chinese brand moved down to the fourth (445 units). In fifth place in January-July there is the Chinese brand Voyah with 354 electric cars sold. It, like Evolute, is also officially represented in Russia.
