"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
This is due to the long period of development of competencies to create high-quality products
During the first three months of this year, 171.3 thousand new cars were sold in Russia. According to the experts of "AUTOSTAT" agency with reference to the data of JSC "PPK" *, this is 35.1% lower than in the 1st quarter of 2022.
Over a third (37%) of this amount belonged to the domestic brand LADA - during the reporting period, 63.4 thousand such cars were sold in our country (+21.3% compared to a year ago). Approximately every eighth car sold belongs to the Chinese brand Chery (20.4 thousand units), which shows a growth of 2.7 times.
Other "Chinese" also show positive dynamics, and EXEED's sales volumes grew the most –3.9 times. The three represented brands (Kia, Hyundai, Toyota) saw their sales decline by more than 70%.
The most popular car in Russia is still LADA Granta - from January to March, 44.1 thousand cars of this family were sold. This is 3.2 times higher than in the first quarter of last year. The top three also included LADA Niva Travel SUV (10.4 thousand units; +68.9%) and Haval Jolion crossover (7.2 thousand units; +82.6%).
It should be noted that only Korean models Hyundai Tucson (-4.8%) and Kia Sportage (-38.8%) show a drop in sales in the TOP-20, while the largest growth is observed at Chinese EXEED LX (32 times).
