"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.

According to the results of the survey, in the second month of spring
The structure of the Russian car market has seriously changed for the year. This is especially noticeable if we consider the market in terms of the origin of brands. Experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", based on the data of JSC "PPK"*, analyzed the ongoing processes in more detail, taking the statistics of January 2022 as a start and following how the situation changed from month to month, until February 2023.
The director of the agency "AUTOSTAT" Sergey Tselikov announced these results, speaking at the auto business forum "ForAuto - 2023. Results and forecasts of the car market". The infographic shows how domestic and Chinese brands gradually increased their presence in the market. The first mentioned brands managed to grow from 20% to 41% for a year, the latter - from 10% to 38% (by 28% percentage points, and this is the highest indicator of dynamics on the market). The process of growth of these brands occurred due to the fall of others. In particular, the share of Korean brands decreased for the year from 24% to 9%, European - from 27% to 6%, Japanese - from 18% to 6%.
European brands sank more than others - by 21 percentage points. We also note that the share of American brands remained almost at the same level, but it did not greatly affect the overall picture, since it does not exceed 1%. The agency "AUTOSTAT" believes that the picture of the market will continue to change.
* JSC "PPK" ("Passport Industrial Consulting") – is a joint venture of JSC "Electronic Passport" and LLC "AUTOSTAT".
