"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
About 40% of total (38.3%) was the share of Bentley brand.
Every third new passenger car purchased by Russians in November of 2022 was produced abroad. This is reported by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*. Recall that in the previous month of autumn, 51,525 new passenger cars were purchased in Russia, which is almost a half (-49%) than in November 2021. At the same time, locally produced cars accounted for 67.9% of the market, i.e. 34,972 units. Accordingly, the share of imported cars was 32.1% (16,553 units).
Experts also noted that the market volume of locally assembled cars fell by 57%, while for imported cars - only by 14%. Recall that in favor of anti-Russian sanctions, many automakers, primarily from Japan and European countries, stopped their plants in Russia, as a result of which sales of such cars fell sharply. The same thing happens with Korean brands that did not join the sanctions, but were forced to stop the assembly due to a violation of the logistics of supplying components.
In fact, sales of locally assembled cars are now pulled by LADA, UAZ and Haval. But the sale of imported cars is due to the "Chinese" that do not support the sanctions and continue official deliveries to our market, and the parallel import mechanism that has been put into operation, approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. Already, many dealers are actively using it, by offering customers cars imported directly (bypassing the distributor) from abroad.
Thus, the segment of imported cars currently feels much better than the market, and therefore its share has grown significantly. If now it is every third purchased new passenger car, then in November of 2021 it was one in five (the share is 19%). The dynamics by brands in both segments is clearly shown in the picture. In the segment of locally assembled cars, you can get acquainted with the data of 15 leading brands in terms of market volume, and among imported ones, this is the TOP-25.
