"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.

The position of Chinese manufacturers in the automotive market of the Russian Federation has changed dramatically for the last couple of years - their share has grown significantly. This is reported by experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" with reference to the data of JSC "PPK" * from January 2020 to September 2022. The changes that have taken place are especially evident if we consider statistics on market volumes broken down into six months. So, in the first half of 2020, 16.7 thousand new Chinese cars were purchased in our country, which accounted for only 3% of the total market.
In the second half of the year, this figure rose to 4%. In 2021, cars from the Middle Kingdom continued to set records: in the first half of the year, 46.9 thousand of such cars were bought in Russia, in the second - 67.4 thousand units. Accordingly, the market share also grew - at first, up to, 6%, and then up to 9%. And in this regard, 2022 was especially indicative, when the market began to fall sharply. During the crisis period, the "Chinese", like other market participants, were forced to reduce their sales volumes. But - as we see, despite the drop in volumes to 40.2 thousand units (in the first half of the year) their share still continued to grow and reached 11%. It is too early to sum up the results of the second half of the year, but according to the results of the 3rd quarter, it is already obvious how much Chinese brands benefited from the cessation of supplies of cars of European, Japanese, American brands and the production problems with the "Koreans".
For July-September, Chinese brands have already captured more than a quarter of the whole Russian car market (26%). This infographic allows you to see not only the growth of the total share of "Chinese", but also the brands, which made the most significant contribution to this "victory march". As you can see, today the main "weather" is made by four brands: Chery, Haval, Geely and EXEED.
