Which of the domestic engine oils are car owners ready to buy?

Against the backdrop of the departure of some foreign brands that produce auto chemicals, oils and lubricants for cars, the specialists of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" decided to find out if Russian car owners are ready to buy products of domestic manufacturers instead of foreign analogues. As part of the report "The Barometer of the Mood and Financial Situation of Russian Car Owners", one of the surveys was devoted to engine oil. Owners who were using foreign brands at the time of the survey were asked, "Which engine oil would you buy if foreign brands would leave the market?" As a result, approximately every second respondent (45.5%) found it difficult to answer. Nevertheless, we managed to identify several domestic brands that were named more often than others. This rating was headed by Lukoil oil, which was named by almost every third respondent (32.5%) as an alternative.

The second most popular brand was Genesis with a score of 10.6%. The third and fourth positions were occupied by Gazprom Neft engine oil brands - G-Energy and Gazpromneft (9.5% and 6.8%, respectively). Products of "Rosneft" finished the TOP-5 (6.6%). About 7% in total accounted for Sintec oils (3.5%), Tatneft (2.1%) and other Russian brands. It is curious that 1% of the survey participants are firmly convinced that despite the difficult logistics in the face of sanctions and bans on the import of foreign goods, they will still find a way and opportunities to buy foreign brand oil.
