What brands do the Chinese buyers consider as an alternative?

Chinese cars are mastering increasingly the Russian market, while taking away an increasing share of other brands. Specialists of Avtostat analytical agency decided to evaluate which cars were considered as an alternative to car owners who bought the car of the Chinese brand in 2021 - 2022. To this end, we conducted an appropriate online survey.

Its results showed that, making a choice in favor of the "Chinese", more often than others, the Russians considered the Korean brands KIA (36.1%) and Hyundai (29.2%) as an alternative - about every third respondent answered. But almost every sixth interviewed looked towards Renault (17.1%) or Skoda (17.1%). To a lesser extent, the Russians considered Nissan cars (13.5%) as an alternative purchase.

The survey also showed that among the buyers of Chinese cars, 14% of them own earlier a car from China and 37.5% plan to look for the next car among Chinese brands.
