Experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT", having analyzed the data of JSC "Electronic Passport", calculated that in January - July 2022, almost 210 thousand new crossovers and SUVs were purchased in our country. This corresponds to more than a half (54.2%) of the Russian passenger car market. Leadership in the SUV segment is held by Hyundai Creta, the market volume of which, by the results of 7 months, was 15.2 thousand units. This model accounts for more than a third (37.4%) of all Hyundai car purchases.

The second place in the presented rating is occupied by Renault Duster with the result of 12 thousand units. It accounts for 35.8% of the total volume of purchased Renault cars. The SUV LADA Niva Travel finishes the top three, the result of which in January-July was 9 thousand units. And this is only 10.8% of all Lada cars. The market volumes of all SUV models included in the TOP-10 for the previous 7 months have overcome the mark of 5 thousand units. Most of them showed a negative trend - in the range from 38% (Kia Seltos) to 63% (Hyundai Creta).

However, two representatives of the Chinese auto industry showed the growth - Chery Tiggo PRO (+5%) and Haval Jolion (3.7 times). It should be noted that the share of the latest model in the total volume of the brand is almost 47%. This figure is higher only for the Mazda CX-5 (74.5%), which occupies the eighth line of the rating.
