For the first 5 months of 2022, the prices for new cars of many brands in Russia increased quite noticeably, but we wanted to see how much the minimum recommended retail price (MSP) increased for the most popular SUVs in the market (crossover and SUV segment). Experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" understood this by comparing the data of the site "Auto Price" on January 1st and May 30th, 2022. The most popular crossover in the Russian market - Hyundai Creta - has increased in price by 43% since the beginning of the year. And this is not the highest result of our rating. Today, the minimum cost of this Korean SUV is 1 million 859 thousand rubles. It should be noted that for five months literally everyone SUV from the TOP-10 crossed the price of 1-million mark (as of January 1st, for a price of less than 1 million, it was still possible to buy a domestic SUV LADA Niva Travel), three more (Nissan Qashqai, Mazda СХ-5 and Haval Jolion ) moved into the category “more than 2 million rubles”, and the recommended price of the Mitsubishi Outlander exceeded 3 million rubles (for cars made in 2022).

All this is in ruble terms. If we evaluate the dynamics of price growth, Haval Jolion can be called the undisputed leader there, which has shown a price increase of 56% since the beginning of the year. Hyundai Creta and Mitsubishi Outlander prices grew by 43%, Renault Duster by 41%. Price increases in the range of 35-40% were shown by Nissan Qashqai, Mazda CX-5, Nissan X-Trail and Kia Seltos. The price of Toyota RAV4 and LADA Niva Travel grew less than prices of other comrades by the rating (their prices grew in the range of 20-25%).
