"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
The company's president, Maxim Sokolov, told about this.
The share of sales of new crossovers and SUVs exceeded 50%, experts from the AUTOSTAT agency found out. And this can be considered one of the main results of 2021, because earlier the market share of SUVs was less than 50%.
Since 2015, this indicator has grown steadily (from 37% to 51%). In other words, if 6 years ago, about every third sold new car belonged to the SUV segment, now it is every second. According to the agency's experts, the share of crossovers and SUVs in the Russian market will continue to grow. It is also interesting that by the end of 2021, a record number of SUV segment cars will be sold in Russia over these years. Recall that the previous peak was in 2018 - 2019 (more than 750 thousand units). And for 11 months of this year, their sales have already be almost 719 thousand cars. At the same time, about 60 thousand crossovers and SUVs are bought in our country every month.
Now the overwhelming majority of brands represented in the Russian Federation, the share of SUVs in sales exceeds 50%, and for many of them it reaches 100%. Only 6 brands have this indicator less than a half of sales, while domestic LADA has a minimum. This is shown more clearly in the picture.
