"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
For eight months of 2023, 294 thousand passenger cars rolled off Russian assembly lines
The experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" in the framework of the survey of the state of the market of new passenger cars in Russia decided to see how the shares of brands have changed in this market, depending on the countries of origin. The data on sales volumes for nine months of 2021 was taken as a basis. It turned out that the share of the largest segment - European brands - in January-September 2021 fell from 30.1% to 29.7%.
In addition to European, the share of Japanese brands also decreased (from 17.8% to 15.2%), as well as American brands (from 1.1% to 0.3%). How did the lost percentage points redistribute? Experts note that during this period the share of Chinese brands increased significantly (from 3.6% to 6.5%). In addition, Korean brands (from 24.8% to 25.1%) and Russian brands (from 22.6 to 23.2%) also increased their presence in the market. In each segment, depending on the country of origin, the agency's specialists also identified leading models.
In the segment of American cars, the flagship in terms of sales for the last three quarters was the Cadillac XT5, among the Chinese - Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. In the "Japanese segment" of the market, the leader can be called Toyota RAV4; LADA Granta remains the best seller in Russia, Kia Rio - in Korea, and Volkswagen Polo - in Europe.
