"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
For eight months of 2023, 294 thousand passenger cars rolled off Russian assembly lines
For 10 months of 2021, more than 90 thousand new Chinese cars and light commercial vehicles were sold in Russia. This is 109% (more than double) higher than the previous year's result. The experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" came to this conclusion, having analyzed the data of the AEB. They also decided to see how sales of cars from the Middle Kingdom were going throughout the whole 2021, from month to month.
There are two important points to note there. The first is that, regardless of how the situation developed in the Russian car market as a whole (its dynamics changed, it grew and then began to fall), sales of Chinese cars in the country invariably showed the good growth. The lowest growth of the "Chinese" was noted in August (+ 42%), the highest - in April (+ 461%). The second point is that the dynamics of the Chinese car market in Russia during these 10 months of 2021 has always been higher than that of the Russian car market as a whole. In this sense, the spring months were especially indicative.
When, against the background of a low base of the previous period (in the spring of 2020, car sales in many regions were falling due to a lockdown), the passenger car market in April 2021 showed an almost 4-fold growth (+ 290%), sales of Chinese cars increased by 5.6 times... In May, the Russian car market as a whole grew more than 2 times (+ 134%), while sales of Chinese cars grew 4.5 times (by 366%).
