"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
Recall that in January it grew by 7%.
For the first half of 2021, 291.4 thousand new passenger cars with a manual transmission were sold in Russia. According to the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT", this is 36% of the total volume of the Russian car market. Most of all cars with "mechanics" are traditionally sold by the domestic brand LADA - for 6 months its result was 174.5 thousand units.
In other words, 90% of the sold "Lada" cars are equipped with MCPs, which is the highest indicator on the market. The second place in our rating was taken by the French brand Renault (46.8 thousand units), which has two-thirds of its sold cars with “mechanics” (67%). Korean Hyundai sold 15.1 thousand of these cars for 6 months, Czech Skoda - 10.9 thousand. The rest of the brands that were outside the top-4 had sold less than 10 thousand of cars with manual gearboxes. In addition to LADA and Renault, domestic UAZ also has a high share of sales of vehicles with a manual transmission (63%).
For the rest of the brands from the TOP-10, it is less than 30%. Moreover, Kia has the least this indicator (7%). We also examined the share of the mechanical gearbox in the sales of the bestsellers of the presented brands. If for LADA Granta and Renault Duster it is 93% and 85% respectively, then for Hyundai Creta it is only 19%.
