How much money do Russians spend for used cars?

The spending of the residents of our country for the used cars during the last 6 years were 2 - 3 trillion rubles annually, calculated by the experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT". So, according to the agency "AUTOSTAT", from 2015 to 2020 the volume of the secondary market grew by 12% (from 4.9 million to 5.5 million units).

At the same time, the weighted average price of a used car for this period grew by 32%. If in 2015 its indicator was almost 415 thousand rubles, then in 2020 it was already 548.7 thousand rubles. The market capacity (or the cost for used cars purchase) has also been growing all these years - for 5 years it has increased almost 1.5 times (from 1.99 trillion to 2.94 trillion rubles). Apparently, this trend will continue, and by the end of this year, the capacity of the secondary market will surpass the mark of 3 trillion rubles.
