There are just over 3 million premium cars in Russia, which is 7% of the total passenger car fleet. This is the conclusion reached by the experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT". Depending on the region or federal district, the share of premium cars differs markedly. If in Moscow and St. Petersburg it is 15% and 13%, respectively, in the districts of the Russian Federation it turns out to be less than 10%. Moreover, the lowest figure among all 8 districts is observed in the Far East - 3%. And in the Jewish Autonomous Region, which is a part of it, the share of premium in the fleet is the lowest in the country (1.7%). However, in a number of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the share of premium cars is even higher than in Moscow and St. Petersburg. So, in the Kaliningrad region, the highest such indicator was recorded, it is 25%. In other words, in the westernmost Russian region, every fourth car belongs to the premium segment.
