"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
For eight months of 2023, 294 thousand passenger cars rolled off Russian assembly lines
There are 309 cars per 1,000 people in our country, the experts of the AUTOSTAT agency calculate. In other words, almost every third Russian has a car. It is clear that this is an average estimation, which, moreover, can vary greatly depending on the place of residence.
As it turned out, among the federal districts, the highest provision of passenger cars is observed in the North-West - 324 units per 1000 people. It is slightly lower in the Ural (323 units) and Central (321 units) federal districts. Just in the regions of the Northwestern Federal District and the Central Federal District - Karelia, Pskov, Kaluga and Kaliningrad regions - high rates of provision with passenger cars (more than 360 units) were noted.
In the Far East and South, there are 319 and 318 cars per thousand inhabitants, respectively, i.e. it is also higher than the average for the Russian Federation. In the Volga region (305 units) and Siberia (301 units), these indicators are lower, but in such regions as Saratov and Tomsk (311 units each), they even slightly exceed the all-Russian level.
The lowest provision of cars was recorded in the North Caucasus - 228 cars per 1000 people. Moreover, in several republics (Dagestan, Ingushetia, Chechnya) it does not even reach 200 units.
