"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.

In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.

According to the assessment of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", based on the data of AEB, in January-September of 2020, sales of new passenger cars in the Russian market in the mass segment fell by 13.9%, while in the premium segment - by 9.8%. Sales of new cars in the mass segment were 946,323 units. Experts note that among the TOP-25 brands, only 8 have an increase in sales, and the rest have gone negative.

The largest growth in 9 months was shown by Changan brand, the sales of which grew 3.6 times over the specified period. It almost doubled at the FAW brand (+ 94.6%). Three more Chinese brands were in the top five fastest growing - Haval (+ 65.8%), Geely (+ 53.6%) and Chery (+ 50%). Japanese brand Suzuki (+ 14%), Czech Skoda (+ 6%) and Italian Fiat (+ 5.2%) also showed the positive dynamics.

The strongest drop among the market leaders is observed in Lifan: the volume of sales of cars of this brand in January - September 2020 fell by 71.1%. Chevrolet (-43.4%), Mitsubishi (-32%), Datsun (-26.8%) and Subaru (-21.5%) also lost more than a quarter of the volumes for the indicated period. Other ten brands fell in the range from 10 to 20%. In the premium segment, car sales in January-September were 101,957 units. Here, the positive dynamics is observed only at Cadillac (+ 52.9%) and Porsche (+ 2.4%).

The remaining 12 went negative. The lowest drop was seen at smart (-90.8%). The sales of Infiniti (-53.9%) and Jaguar (-48.6%) fell almost twice. Genesis (-35.6%) and LandRover (-30.5%) lost over 30% of the last year's volumes. Other three premium brands (Volvo, Audi, Jeep) recorded sales declines in the range of 10% to 20%. It turned out to be the minimum for BMW and MINI (less than 2%).
