"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
Recall that in January it grew by 7%.
Sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia in July for the first time in the last 4 months showed the growth. So, in the second summer month, according to the AEB, almost 142 thousand cars were sold – higher by 7% than in July of 2019. As a reminder, the last time the positive dynamics of the market was recorded in March (+ 4%).
At the same time, the maximum sales result was fixed - 162.3 thousand units. The market fell during the whole 2nd quarter - against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent restrictive measures on the work of auto retailers. This was the most noticeable in April, when car sales fell by 72% ...
As the restrictions were lifted, the situation began to improve: every month the market decline rate decreased, and in July it even went “plus”. At the same time, the sales volumes (in relation to the previous month) are constantly growing. For example, from April to July, monthly sales grew more than 3.5 times. However, if we consider the statistics for 7 months of this year, then the consequences of the collapse in the 2nd quarter have not been overcome yet: during this period the market sank by 19% (to 742.7 thousand units).
The leader here is still the domestic brand LADA, which has more than 22%. And among the models, LADA Granta keeps the leadership with a share exceeding 8%.
