"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.

In January-June, new car sales in Russia (according to AEB) fell by 23.3% in compare with the first half of 2019. At the same time, in the mass segment they decreased by 23.8%, while in the premium segment - by 17.9%. This is the conclusion reached by the experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT".
The volume of sales of new cars in the mass segment reached 548,224 units. Experts noted that among the TOP-25 brands, only 6 have an increase in sales, while the rest went to negative. The largest growth based on the results of the first half of the year was shown by Changan brand, the sales of which quadrupled over the indicated period. It almost doubled for the Haval brand (+ 90.8%). Another Chinese brand, FAW (+ 53%), was in the top three of the fastest growing ones. The Japanese brand Suzuki (+ 16.6%) and the Chinese Geely (+ 11.6%) and Chery (+ 4.3%) also showed the positive dynamics.
The lowest drop among the market leaders is observed at Lifan: the volume of sales of cars of this brand in January - June of 2020 decreased by 76%. Mitsubishi (-39.6%), Subaru (-32.6%), Datsun (-30.5%), Hyundai (-27.5%), KIA (-27, 2%), UAZ (-26.8%) lost more than a quarter of the volumes in compare with the 1st half of 2019. Sales of Chevrolet (-24.7%), LADA (-23.9%), Volkswagen (-23.5%), Peugeot (-23.1%) and Renault (-20%) decreased by 20% or more ...
In the premium segment, sales of cars in January-June reached 59,800 units. Here, positive dynamics is observed only at Cadillac (+ 16.8%). The rest 13 went negative. The lowest drop was fixed at smart (-89.3%). Sales of Infiniti (-65.2%) fell almost threefold, and Jaguar's sales (-49.3%) fell by a half. Genesis (-36.9%), Volvo (-35.7%), Jeep (-34.4%) lost over 30% of the last year's volumes. Sales of LandRover vehicles fell by 29.1%. At other four German premium brands (Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi) it was recorded sales declines in the range from 10% to 20%. It turned out to be the minimum for Lexus and MINI (around -8%).
