"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
Now offered in two body types – sedan and liftback.
According to the assessment of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, from January to April 2020, Russians spent 697.5 billion rubles for new cars. This is lower by 10.3% than in the same period of the previous year (777.2 billion rubles).
Most of the money was spent on the purchase of KIA and Toyota cars - 76.7 billion rubles each. But this indicator of the Korean brand fell by 20.4% for the year and the Japanese one - by 1.1%. Bavarian premium brand BMW is the third one in our ranking with a result of 59.6 billion rubles. A little less Russians spent for cars of another German premium brand - Mercedes-Benz (59.5 billion rubles), and domestic LADA (58.8 billion rubles) finished the top-5. Korean Hyundai overcame the mark of 50 billion rubles. For other brands, this figure is lower.
Agency experts noted that in the 1st quarter, Russians spent more for new cars than in the same period of 2019 (+ 11%). But due to the April collapse (-73%) in the car market - due to the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent restrictions on the work of car dealers - the capacity indicator also decreased sharply. So, in April, the inhabitants of our country bought cars for only 70 billion rubles, although previously the average monthly figure slightly exceeded 200 billion rubles.
