What cars do Russians consider as the most ergonomic? TOP-10 of brands

When you get into your car and it’s easy and convenient to adjust climate control, control music or navigation, adjust the position of the steering wheel and driver’s seat, this is not just an accidental luck, but the result of the painstaking work of many specialists. One of the main tasks of car design is to ensure that all the car's controls are in the right place, and their purpose is clear to the driver without prompting.

The combination of all these qualities determines one of the most important characteristics of the car - its ergonomics. The experts of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT decided to find out: With which car characteristics did the Russians satisfy most of all? In the course of this study *, the assessment was carried out on a 5-point scale, where 1 point was completely unsatisfied, and 5 points were completely satisfied. The indicators were calculated according to a special methodology and, for greater clarity, were given to 100 points.

One of the characteristics by which satisfaction was assessed was the ergonomics of the car. According to the survey, the most ergonomic cars are Mercedes-Benz (owners gave them 93.6 points of 100 possible). The top-3 with the results over 90 points included cars of two more premium brands - BMW (92.6 points) and Audi (91.3 points). Skoda - the representative of the mass segment - is the fourth one. The ergonomics of cars of this brand were estimated by car owners at 89.5 points. Another premium brand Volvo finished the TOP-5 (88.7 points). It is worth noting that the ergonomics of other brands of cars from the TOP-10 was also highly appreciated by their owners (more than 80 points of 100 possible).

* The study was conducted through an online survey in January of 2020. It was attended by more than 2500 owners of new cars of 2018-2019 years of release.
