"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
The official start of production of new trucks is scheduled for the second quarter of 2023
According to the experts of the analytic agency AUTOSTAT, in the Russian Federation, the share of new cars equipped with automatic transmission (AT) is 59% of total sales. At the same time, for a particular brand, the market share of vehicles with AT is significantly different.
Most of all cars with an automatic transmission in our country are sold by KIA. For 9 months, dealers of the Korean brand sold 142.5 thousand of these cars and this represents 85% of all KIA sales.
Another manufacturer from South Korea - Hyundai - sold 101.7 thousand cars with automatic transmission for the same period, and the share in the brand’s sales structure was 78%. But this figure at the Japanese Toyota, which finishes the top 3 of leaders in the sale of cars with automatic transmission (69.5 thousand units), is equal to 93%.
In the TOP-10 of brands, nine of them have a share of sales of vehicles with ATs that is higher than the national level (59%). Moreover, at German premium brands - BMW and Mercedes-Benz - it even equals the maximum value (100%). Only the French Renault has a market share of vehicles with AT in our rating is significantly lower (30%) than the average for the Russian Federation. We also examined the share of automatic transmission in sales of best-selling brands. If at the Korean models - KIA Rio and Hyundai Solaris - it exceeds 70%, then it is 100% at Toyota Camry model.
