"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.

In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.

According to the assessment of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, KIA Rio remains the most popular new passenger car with automatic transmission in Russia. For 6 months of 2019, 34.6 thousand units with automatic transmission were sold - 5.7% higher than in January – June’18.

Hyundai Creta crossover is the second in the rating - Russians purchased 24.9 thousand units of this model with “automatic” transmission (+ 3.2%) for a half a year. Another Hyundai model finishes the top 3 of our rating - Solaris sedan (22.3 thousand units; -3.2%).

Volkswagen Polo sedans (17.2 thousand units; + 35.6%) and Toyota Camry (16.3 thousand units; + 17.6%) are the next. Volkswagen Tiguan crossover is the sixth with 14.4 thousand sold units (-0.8%). Two more representatives of the SUV segment: KIA Sportage (13.3 thousand units; -7.8%) and Toyota RAV4 (11.8 thousand units; -1.9%) are the seventh and eighth. KIA Optima is the ninth one and 11.7 thousand Russians (+ 31.7%) purchased this model with "automatic" transmission in January – June. Mitsubishi Outlander crossover (10.7 thousand units; -5.9%) finishes the TOP-10 of the most popular such cars.

Recall that just for 6 months of 2018, 453.3 thousand new cars equipped with automatic transmission (including classic “automatic” transmissions, “robots”, CVTs, etc.) were sold in Russia. This is 3.2% higher than in January - June of the previous year. Thus, as the experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" noted, they already have 58.5% of the Russian market.
