Which brands have a higher share of car sales of Russian assembly?

Experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" found that the share of local assembly cars accounts for 85% of the total volume of the market of new passenger cars in Russia. Now we have decided to consider how this indicator may vary depending on a particular brand.

It is quite natural that domestic LADA and UAZ have a 100% result here. In addition to them, Korean KIA and Hyundai, American Ford (important clarification: so far), Japanese Datsun and Chinese Lifan, FAW, Brilliance also fall into this category. It is clear that almost all of them differ in market volumes, but they sell what they produced in our country.

Such brands as Renault, Skoda, Nissan, Mazda, Chevrolet, Genesis and Changan are very close to them. From 90% to 99% of sold cars are assembled in Russia. 85% of sold Volkswagen passenger cars were produced in plants in Kaluga and Nizhny Novgorod, and this figure corresponds to the national one. At Chery and Mitsubishi, it is 78% and 72%, respectively; while at Toyota (65%) two of three sold cars were assembled locally.

At the German premium brand BMW (47%), the share of sales of Russian-made cars is close to a half. This result is even less at French Citroen (36%) and Peugeot (21%), i.e. it is almost every third and every fifth, respectively. At Audi, it is altogether close to zero - 6%.

But a number of manufacturers sell only imported cars in Russia (see picture). However, their company will soon have to leave the German Mercedes-Benz and the Chinese Haval, which built their own car plants in our country.
