In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.

Experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the Russian car market in 2018 and identified the TOP-ten of brand-leaders in sales of new cars in the SUV segment.

For the last year, Russian dealers of Hyundai sold most of the crossovers and SUVs - 99.2 thousand units. Moreover, the share of SUVs in the structure of the total Korean brand sales was 56%. It is less than the Japanese Mitsubishi (93%), Nissan (82%), Mazda (77%) and Toyota (60%), but in quantitative terms, sales of their crossovers and SUVs have smaller volumes (42.4 thousand units; 66 thousand units; 24.3 thousand units and 65.5 thousand units, respectively).

At KIA, SUVs account for about every fifth sold car (share - 22%; 51.1 thousand units). In this case, the Korean manufacturer is the leader in the sale of cars among foreign brands. Above it, only domestic LADA, less than one in ten sold vehicles of which (share - 9%; 32.9 thousand units) belongs to the SUV segment. Chevrolet has the highest share of sales of such cars - 99% in the TOP-10. And it is only due to the Niva SUV (29.9 thousand units): in 2018, the brand was represented in the Russian market mainly by one model.

We also note that the every second sold vehicle of French Renault is the vehicle of SUV segment (share - 53%; 72.4 thousand units), and at Volkswagen – the every third vehicle (share - 37%; 39.8 thousand units). There are brands in the Russian market, sales of SUVs of which accounted for 100% in 2018 (Land Rover, Suzuki, etc.), however, the total volumes of sold crossovers and SUVs by them in the last year are less than volumes of those brands that entered TOP-10.
