"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
Now offered in two body types – sedan and liftback.
The experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" made a rating of the best-selling new cars in Russia in 2018. The leader of this rating was KIA Rio, which at the same time ranked the third in the list of the most popular models in the market as a whole. Last year, the Korean bestseller figure was 100.1 thousand units, which is more by 3.6% than in 2017.
In the second and third places, with a large margin from the leader, there are also “Koreans” - the Hyundai Сreta crossover, the sales result of which reached 67.6 thousand cars (+ 22.2%), and the Hyundai Solaris sedan, sales of which decreased by 4,4% (up to 65.6 thousand units). The fourth position is occupied by the German Volkswagen Polo sedan (59.5 thousand units; + 22.3%), and the French Renault Duster crossover (41.4 thousand units; -5.5%) closes the TOP-five.
The TOP-10 of the Russian market of new cars last year also included: Skoda Rapid (35.1 thousand units; + 19.2%), Toyota Camry (33.7 thousand units; + 19.5%), Volkswagen Tiguan (33.5 thousand units; + 21.2%), KIA Sportage (32.7 thousand units; + 32.7%) and Renault Sandero (31.6 thousand units; +4.5 %).
We also note that by the end of 2018, sales of foreign cars (including LCV) in our country were 1.34 million units (+ 13.1%). Most of the TOP-ten models increased their sales in Russia compared to the previous year, and the highest growth was shown by the KIA Sportage crossover (+ 32.7%). At the same time, only two models showed a decrease in sales - Hyundai Solaris and Renault Duster (-4.4% and -5.5%, respectively).
