Experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" have already reported that according to the results of 11 months of 2018 in Russia per 1000 inhabitants there are 10 sold new passenger cars. Now we decided to compare this figure with those in other European countries.

It turned out that in 11 states it is at least three times higher. Thus, the leader of this rating is Luxembourg, where from January to November of 2018, 86 new cars were sold per 1000 residents, which is 8 times higher than the Russian figure. Then Iceland (52 units) and Belgium (46 units) follow with a noticeable lag.

The largest car market in Europe - Germany - is outside the TOP-three with the result of 39 sold vehicles per 1000 people. In such countries as Austria, Denmark, Great Britain, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland, this figure also exceeds 30 units.

Russia is only on the 25th place of the rating along with Cyprus and Lithuania, where it is also sold 10 new cars per 1000 inhabitants. For example, we are inferior to Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Slovakia and Estonia, the results of which range from 13 to 18 units. But the indicators are worse than in Russia are in such countries as Greece, Latvia, Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine. And in the latter country, the least sales of new cars per 1000 inhabitants were recorded in Europe - only 2 units.
