Which type of transport do Russians choose for travel?

Specialists of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" together with the publishing house "Za Rulem" decided to find out which type of transport was the most often chosen for travel this summer by the inhabitants of our country and what the lovers of the velvet season will choose, whose vacation is scheduled for the end of summer or early autumn. It was conducted an online survey, in which over 3,500 respondents participated.

According to the results, over half of the respondents (52.6%) prefer to travel on vacation by private car. Every third (31.7%) participant of the survey was referred to air travelers, and the fans of the train were much less - only 8.2% of respondents.

The survey also found out that people choose a bicycle (3.4%) as a recreational vehicle much more likely than buses (1.2%). Probably, they are fans of outdoor activities, as well as those who travel for short distances.

Even less (0.9%) of survey participants chose for themselves the sea type of travel. An equal number of respondents (0.7% each) travel by motorcycle or rent a car. The least popular answer in the survey was the variant of traveling by car of the companion (0,6%).
