According to the estimation of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", 338.6 thousand new crossovers and SUVs were sold in Russia for the first half of 2018. At the same time, the share of vehicles with all-wheel drive in this volume was 70.5%. The agency's experts conducted a study and they found out how this indicator is distributed among brands that are presented in the Russian market.

It is noted that all-wheel-drive models are absent in the SUV range at a number of brands (Lifan, Chery, Zotye, FAW, DFM, Brilliance, HTM, Chrysler). Other brands, on the contrary, have all crossovers and off-road vehicles that are sold in the market with all-wheel drive (LADA, Chevrolet, UAZ, Land Rover, Subaru, Honda, Infiniti, Porsche, Jaguar, Cadillac, Foton).

For the rest of the brands, it was decided to allocate a share of the all-wheel drive by models (but only in those models, the sales of which exceeded 500 units in January-June). It turned out that the share of the all-wheel drive is at least 80% in sales of such vehicles as Volvo XC 90, KIA Sorento, Nissan Murano and some others. It is in an interval from 50 to 80% for Volkswagen Tiguan, Mazda CX-5, and Mitsubishi Outlander. And it is below 50% in such models as Skoda Yeti, Suzuki Vitara, Nissan Qashqai.
