"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
Now offered in two body types – sedan and liftback.
According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", from September of 2014 to December of 2017, prices for new cars in Russia grew by 49%. The main reason is the growth of foreign exchange rates against the ruble. In addition, its influence is exerted by inflation and growth of production costs.
The greatest dynamics of changes in the cost of cars occurred from December of 2014 to April of 2015 (+ 21%). Just at the end of 2014 – the beginning of 2015 the ruble's exchange rate against global currencies began to fall sharply. In summer, both in 2015 and in 2016, there was a stabilization of the currency and a number of other indicators, and in some months even a slight decline in car prices was recorded. But, since September, they have again shown progressive growth. 2017 was marked by a further gradual progressive increase in prices: during this year they grew by 5%.
As the experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" noted, cars will continue to rise in price and in 2018 the price growth may be 5 - 7%. So, according to the director of the agency Sergey Tselikov, the main factors of growth may be an increase in excises for cars with a capacity of more than 200 hp and the utilization charge by 15 - 17% from the beginning of 2018. But, as Mr. Tselikov points out, provided that the Russian currency will be relatively stable at the level from 55 to 65 Rubles for $ 1 in 2018 and there will be no devaluation of the ruble.
