"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", which is a survey of car owners according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare assessment indicators over time.
In the spring of 2022 (in addition to the annual autumn wave), the fourth spring wave of the project will be released, which is aimed at identifying consumer preferences in the purchase and operation of summer tires.
The official start of production of new trucks is scheduled for the second quarter of 2023
The sales of new cars in the Russian market in 2017 were 1 million 475.7 thousand units, which is more by 12.3% than the result of a year ago. At the same time, the market growth was noted in the most of segments, except for the A-class (-17.6%) and the C-class (-1.7%).
The largest by sales segment was the SUV. So, the share of crossovers and SUVs in the last year was 41.9% of total sales of cars in the country, which corresponds to 617.7 thousand units (+ 20.9%). The leader here, as in previous months, continues to be a new crossover Hyundai Creta (55.3 thousand units, + 152.2%). It is followed by Renault Duster (43.8 thousand units -0.4%) and Toyota RAV4 (32.9 thousand units, + 7.6%).
In the second place by sales there is the B-class, whose cars for the year 2017were sold in amount of 587.3 thousand units (+ 8.1%), which is equal to a 39.8% share. Among the models, KIA Rio is leading (96.7 thousand units, + 10.3%). In the top- three there are two LADA models - Granta (93.7 thousand units, + 6.8%) and Vesta (77.3 thousand units, + 40.1%).
