Hyundai is in the third place among foreign brands in Russia

Hyundai sales in the Russian market increased by 3 % to 151,443 units for 10 months of 2013. As a result, compared with the previous year, the Korean brand was able to rise to the third place in terms of sales of foreign brands in the Russian market.

“The Hyundai brand has always sought to provide customers with the best ratio of price and quality. We are always attentive to this, as well as to our target audience”, - the managing director of “Hyundai Motor CIS”, Denis Petrunin, informed the agency AUTOSTAT. – So, our input configuration in each model, even in case of generation changing, remains affordable. The price / quality ratio in the base model is always better than in expensive models. Here is an example ix35: updated model entered the market now, but the price of the input configuration of the model remained almost unchanged. But this is a new car, new design and new engine. In other words, the car became cheaper by RUB 20,000, it has become even more attractive. This philosophy allows both: expand and keep the target audience”.

It is worth noting that Hyundai Solaris is the best-buy foreign car in Russia and it shows moderate growth in sales, despite the fact that the Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg for the third year is running at the limit of its capacity. Thus, the sales of best-buy Hyundai grew by 1% to 95,495 vehicles in January-October.
