Renault and Kia are leaders in the markets of big cities

Renault leads the segment of foreign cars in 22 cities of Russia, which are in the top-50 by car market capacity. The brand also tops the list of sales in St. Petersburg by the results of January - October 2013 in accordance with the statistics prepared by the magazine “AutoBusinessReview”.

Renault enjoys the greatest popularity in Central Russia and in the North- West. In particular, the French brand has become the most popular in all regional centers of Northwestern Federal District with the exception of the Kaliningrad, and it gives the first place only in Voronezh and Kaluga in the Central Federal District (excluding Moscow). Thus the brand's share of cars reaches or exceeds 20 % in some cities (including in Bryansk, Ivanovo, Pskov, Smolensk and Tver). Also the brand Renault has “a gold medal” in four cities - millionaires - St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Perm and Samara.

However, Kia has won the first line in the most of major Russian big cities. Korean brand is a leader in Volgograd, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov -on- Don, Stavropol, Surgut, Tyumen, Ufa. The brand has achieved maximum market share in Surgut - 20%, and it is 13 % in Volgograd and Kazan. Overall, Kia has become a bestseller in 14 cities of the top 50. The leaders of foreign segment in other big regional centers were Toyota, which is demanded widely traditionally in Siberia, as well as Hyundai, Chevrolet and Volkswagen.

Recall that it was sold 2.28 million vehicles in Russia for 10 months, which is less by 7% than the indicator for the same period of the last year. Market leadership is kept by Lada, and the most demanded foreign car throughout the year is Renault.
