The analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the Russian market of new cars, which covered manufacturers from China. According to the results of the study, sales of new Chinese cars (according to the AEB, taking into account LCV) in February of 2017 were about 1.9 thousand units - less by 28% than a year ago.
Car lending was a contributing factor of the market in 2006-2008. Significant decrease in the monthly sales at the end of 2008 is a result of suspension of car lending. Today the market is restoring gradually, which is also stimulated with lax crediting. 155,000 lax car credits were approved in 2010 (Ministry of Industrial Trade data on 16.12.2010). In 2008 about 50% of cars were sold on credit, during the crisis (in 2009) the share of credit cars decreased to 20%. Today up to 40% of new cars are sold on credit.
According to AUTOSTAT analysts, efficiency of preferential car lending program increased. Thus, from January till December 2010 the share of cars bought on lax credit was 6.6% of the total sales. From March till November 2011 the share of lax credit cars is 9.6% of the Russia car market.
