Uz-Daewoo has presented a new Gentra sedan

Uz-Daewoo Gentra sedan.jpgThe company Uz-Daewoo has presented the new C-Class sedan - Gentra, the production of which has begun recently at the plant GM-Uzbekistan. The acceptation of orders for Gentra at dealerships will begin in June. Prices for a new car in a basic configuration will start from RUB 399,000.

The front-drive sedan Gentra, created on the platform of Lacetti, received a new four-cylinder DOHC engine with a capacity of 1.5 liters and 105 HP. Transmission  will be manual or automatic. Fuel consumption in the urban cycle is 8.46 / 9.46 liters per 100 km for the version with manual and automatic transmissions, respectively. External changes have affected the front part of the model: bonnet, radiator closure, bumper, headlights and fog lights. The car meets the environmental standards of Euro 5.

The configuration of Gentra provides such options as ABS, heated front seats, CD-player, sunroof, remote audio control on the steering wheel and wood decoration. All versions are equipped with airbags, immobilizer, air conditioning and front fog lamps.

Uz-Daewoo announced the closest competitors of Gentra in the Russian market: Hyundai Solaris, Kia Rio, Volkswagen Polo, Renault Sandero. According to the company, the likely price of the new car will be less than the price of competitors. The moderate pricing policy is the traditional approach of Uz-Daewoo for the positioning of the models, noted in Uz-Daewoo.

According to the Deputy Chairman of the Board “Uzavtosanoat”, Tokhirjon Zhalilov, the company expects to strengthen the key market advantage of Uz-Daewoo cars - a balance of price and quality - with the production of a new sedan Gentra. Nexia and Matiz have a stable demand in the capital and in the regions, they are inexpensive to maintain, and they are in demand in the secondary market. “The mission of the new sedan Gentra is to fit into this range of features, expanding the choice for the more discerning customers”, - said Mr.Zhalilov.
