According to data of analytic agency AUTOSTAT, the number of sales of cars was 2,7 million units in the after sales market in January-June of 2012 and it was more by 24% than in January-June of the previous year, when it was sold 2,1 million of new cars.
The share of the leader among brands of the after sales market was 35,4% of sales. The leader of model rating is still LADA 2107 (115,8 thousand units), which outstrips LADA 110 (103,9 thousand units).
Sales of used cars of the leader among foreign cars – Toyota – increased by 21% (318,2 thousand units) in compare with the analogous period of the previous year. Re-sales of Nissan cars were 128,3 thousand units for six months. The third place among foreign cars and the fourth one in the total rating was occupied by Ford (93,0 thousand units). The TOP-10 of the after sales car market includes also Chevrolet, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Honda, Volkswagen and Opel.
Analysts remarked that among used models LADA, the highest dynamics is shown by Priora cars: sales increased almost twice for Janaury-June of this year in compare with the analogous period of the previous year – from 15,0 thousand units to 29,6 thousand units.
The TOP-10 of leaders among models of used foreign cars is kept. The first one is - Toyota Corolla. The second one is - Ford Focus. The third place is still kept by German national car Volkswagen Passat. The TOP-10 of used foreign cars includes also Daewoo Nexia, Mitsubishi Lancer, other two Toyota cars - Camry and Land Cruiser, Hyundai Accent, Chevrolet Niva and Renault Logan.
