Lada is far from competitors in Kazakhstan market

 

Sales of passenger cars in Kazakhstan, according to consulting company “Qncepto”, increased 2,5 times in March and they were 5121 units. The same growth was shown by Kazakhstan market by the results of three months of 2012 and it was 13090 of passenger cars. As experts remarked, first of all, the high growth of market is a merit of Lada, Hyundai, Kia and Chevrolet brands, the total contribution of which was more than 75% of growth for the quarter.

According to data of «Qncepto», it was remarked the considerable outflow of demand in favour of brands of the TOP-10 of brands. Though quantitative indicators of brands of “the second tier” increased, the market share of all brands without exclusions beyond the TOP-10 decreased. Such concentration of market demand is connected with a consumer interest strengthening to cars of average and low price niche, explained analysts of «Qncepto».

The driver of this process was the most mass brand of Kazakhstan market – Lada. It outstripped twice the nearest competitor in the previous year. By the results of this year this gap is close to fourfold difference: Lada has 41,5% of all market of passenger cars with indicator of 5427 of sold passenger cars. The second place by sales volume is occupied by Hyundai, which could increase sales 9 times to 1453 cars due to the high demand for model Accent of Russian production by the results of the first quarter. The third place is occupied by Toyota with indicator of 1103 of sold cars and it is more by 31,3% than in the previous year. The fourth result was shown by UZ-Daewoo – 831 cars (+85%). This time Chevrolet closes the row of five leaders, which increased sales 2,4 times to 793 units. The less result – 766 cars - was shown by Kia, which demonstrated the four times growth. As remarked representatives of «Qncepto», the model range of Chevrolet and Kia is almost completely presented by cars of Kazakhstan assembly.
