The ranking leaders on the index of repeat purchases are Mercedes Benz (66%), Volvo (59%) and Volkswagen (55%), and the clear outsider – is Daewoo (8%). The Top-five of leaders also includes Toyota (51%) and BMW (48%).

According to the data of analytic agency AUTOSTAT, in January – December of 2011 sales of used passenger cars decreased by 3% or by 112696 in Russia in compare with the same period of 2010.
In December of 2011 the after-sales market showed the sales growth by 12%, so it was re-registered more of cars by 45 060 units than it was in December of 2010.
Sergey Udalov, executive director of analytic agency AUTOSTAT, commented: “Sales growth of December in the after-sales market improved slightly the final picture. By the results of eleven months the total falling of used car market was 4% but the result of the year was 2,7% due to the volume growth in December. Volumes of after-sales market of foreign cars continue to grow and volumes of resale of domestic cars continue to fall down”.
The very high growth for the year was shown by French brands - CITROEN, RENAULT and PEUGEOT».
