Over the last 8 years the Russian market of new passenger cars already suffered the crisis, when the dynamics of the sales went to the "minus". So, from October of 2008 to April of 2010 the monthly dynamics of the market of new cars showed the negative values.

Analytic agency AUTOSTAT resumes the publishing of monthly overviews of Russian market of used cars
We present you our press release by the results of January-November of 2011.
Sales of used passenger cars decreased by 4% or by 160122 units in Russia in January-November of 2011 in compare with the same period of 2010 (according to data of analytic agency AUTOSTAT).
In November of 2011 the aftermarket showed the sales falling by 9%, so it was re-registered less by 35 290 cars in compare with the same period of 2010.
Sergey Udalov, executive manager of AA AUTOSTAT, commented it:
“There was a small decreasing of deals monthly in the aftermarket and it grew up to the total falling of 4% by the end of year. One of the features of this market is the stable decreasing of resale of domestic brands LADA, GAZ, UAZ, IZH, Moskvich, OKA in compare with the previous year. The decreasing of aftermarket of national cars is connected directly with the parc decreasing due to the scrappage recycling. Therewith, the older model of car, the higher decreasing by this model in the aftermarket, in particular, if the production was stopped (LADA-2106, 2105, 2104).
Used cars of foreign brands increase sale volumes in the aftermarket due to the parc growth. Therewith, the highest growth of market belongs to brands with growing quickly parcs”.
