In November Russian car market increased by 80%

According to the data of European Business Association, the sales of passenger cars and of light commercial vehicles were 189902 vehicles in Russia by the results of November that is more by 80% than in the previous year. As EBA remarked, it is the highest indicator of sales since December 2008 year and the market continues to grow, trying to approach 1,9 million of sold cars a year that is considerably more than all forecasts of EBA. According to the forecast for a year, the growth could be 30%. Evidently, the scrappage program of used cars and also the accessibility of preferential loans coincide with the consumers confidence growth that led to the sales growth in all segments and of all brands. At the same time EBA pays attention on fact that after the program is finished it will be necessary the further economy growth to continue the stable car market recovery. By the results of 11 months of 2010 year, the sales of cars in our country exceeds the last year indicators by 28% and they are 1 million 706 thousand 254 vehicles.
Lada brand still keeps the leadership in the market AvtoVAZ sold 49534 cars in November that exceeds more than twice (+107%) the indicator of the previous year. It should be remarked that AvtoVAZ sold by scrappage program 27987 of Lada cars and the second consecutive month the share of scrappage cars exceeds the 50% mark of sales (in November 56%). The second place and the leadership among the foreign cars are belonged to Chevrolet the sales of which increased by 93% and there were sold 12298 cars by the results of November. Renault keeps the third place with an indicator of 9900 sold cars (+58%). Therewith, the bestselling models Logan and Sandero have 86,4% of brand sales. The reason of high indicator of Renault is that Moscow plant Autoframos stared to work in two shifts in the full capacity at the end of August. So, Korean Kia remained on the fourth place among the foreign cars with a result of 9200 cars (+27%) and company explained it by the limited quotas for deliveries and by the deficit of cars at dealers. Nissan closes the row of five-leaders, the sales of Japanese brand increased more than twice (+178%) to 9149 units. Then Ford (8810 units, +84%), Hyundai (8527 units, +7%), GAZ (8181 units, +84%) and Toyota (8083 units, +94%) follow. Volkswagen has climbed up on the tenth place with an indicator of 6703 cars (+157%) that is explained by start of new Polo saloon cars sales which could be bought from September.
