What is the dirtiest parc among Russian regions?

In Russia, there were called the most "dirty" regions. According to RIA "Novosti" with reference to the public organization "Green Patrol", they are the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Orenburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Irkutsk, Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg regions.

As one of the reasons for getting into this anti-rating, it was pointed out that the regions are not able to launch garbage reform and resort to imitating of the sorting and recycling of waste instead of organizing new, existing capacities and reducing their removal to landfills.

In turn, the experts of the analytic agency AUTOSTAT decided to clarify the situation with the car parc in these regions of the Russian Federation. We looked at the structure of the local parc broken down by environmental standards. Perhaps it also affects the place in the ranking?

As it turned out, in the four listed regions, the share of cars with an environmental class less than Euro-4 is higher than in the whole country (55%). So, in the Irkutsk region, this figure is 73%, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory - 67%, in the Orenburg region - 62%, and in the Chelyabinsk region - 56%. But in the Yekaterinburg and Nizhniy Novgorod regions it is less than the nationwide (52% and 47%, respectively).
